Welcome to TASBE!
How to Navigate the Website To travel around the site, please use the buttons at the top of the page or the images to the left of this text. You can find our "Next Lecture" which will take you to our upcoming lectures or try "BiteSize Events" which will take you to the upcoming tours around Birmingham and the local area. You can even leave a review for the last lecture given, using the "Review Last Lecture" button also found on the left of this text! NEW VENUE Because The Ruddock Performing Arts Centre of King Edwards VI School High School has been such a success, we have decided to remain with them. We hope this meets with your approval. The Ruddock has two options for our lectures. Should the need for Social Distancing recur, there is a concert hall seating 400, but we have chosen the studio theatre which is well suited for our needs. There is also a bar, so you can have a glass of wine when you arrive from 6.30pm before the lecture starts at 7pm. To gain entry to the site it is best approached from the Bristol Road entrance - signed as the Park Vale Gate B5 7SP. Mostly the gates will be open for us, but there is a key code number which changes monthly and this will be released to members on request. MEMBERSHIP Because we haven’t had vast expenditure hiring the Barber etc, our membership fee remains at £60 for the year, renewal being January 2022, why not gift a membership to someone special. "Finally, as Chairman of TASBE, I want to thank those who have stayed during the pandemic! It has cheered us to see how many of you remained faithful and I hope you have enjoyed our lecture programme, wait till you see what is coming up!! We will work tirelessly to ensure you are delighted, informed and want to join us for yet another year!" ~ Christine Marshall (Chairman) Click here to find out more about membership! |
