Meet at The New Art Gallery Walsall at 10.30 am, refreshments will be served on arrival followed by a 60-minute talk on the Garman Ryan collection.
We will then find a local pub for lunch followed by a free guided tour of the Walsall Leather Museum.
The New Art Gallery Walsall holds collections of European art, from Dutch marine scenes and British landscapes to French Impressionism and Victorian narrative painting. The Garman Ryan Collection forms an important part of the holdings - donated by Sir Jacob Epstein's widow in 1972, the collection consists of 365 works charting Epstein's long career.
Walsall Leather Museum celebrates the great achievement of local leather craftsmen and women and tells the story of the Walsall leather trade. Their displays feature splendid examples of historic craftsmanship and excited contemporary designs.
