The Day Parliament Burnt Down

In the early evening of 16th October 1834, a ball of fire exploded through the roof of the Houses of Parliament creating such a blaze it was seen from Windsor Castle. This talk will give the audience a gripping hour-by-hour story of the fire, and also consider its devastating aftermath and far-reaching consequences.
