BITE SIZE BRUM

BITE SIZE BRUM is The Art Society - Birmingham Evening's social programme.

It's a way of exploring our wonderful city with like-minded people from The Art Society

During the past three years, we have been to:

The Coffin Works / Shakespeare Inn

Pen Museum / Rose Villa Tavern

Soho House / The Black Eagle

The Two Towers Brewery

Cadbury Research Library at the University of Birmingham

We have had some amazing Meet the Artist Events at the RBSA Gallery where sculptor Viv Astling, painter Rob Perry, jewellery designer Michele White and the PRISM textile artists have generously shared their time and techniques with us.

Walking and Talking around Birmingham with Blue Badge guide Ian Jelf and with Canal enthusiast Roger Butler (ending at interesting local pubs) have proved very popular with BSB participants as have our Taste and Tour evenings at The Bartons Arms.

The Wellington pub has proved an excellent venue for Edwin Gumbley's postcards talks on WW1, and the Houses & Buildings of Bournville.

And - a visit to The Electric Cinema to see Metropolis.

Thank you to all who made suggestions for the programme including asking for a "bit more notice!"    On the tabs to the right you will find details and booking forms for the remainder of 2017 - all are most welcome to attend but of course being an Arts Society - Birmingham Evening member allows for a discount on all BSB events.

The programme for 2018 is currently being planned and will be issued in mid November

If you would like to suggest Bite Size Brum events, we'd love to hear from you
